Saturday, August 6, Spartans stormed Grove Stone and Sand Company in Black Mountain, NC, just outside of Asheville for the 4th of 5 races in the NBC Spartan Race US Championship series.  This Super provided a great challenge for athletes of all abilities with butt kicking mountains, obstacles in a quarry, and stifling heat and humidity.  Hunter McIntyre was the first athlete not named Ryan Atkins to take first place in the men's championship series, while Lindsay Webster continued her dominance winning her fourth consecutive race in the series.
